Yin-Yang
"A confused mind is a mind that feels it must
make a choice. The mind that knows does.
Those that know do. Those that don't
choose."
-The Last Buddha
The quote comes from the book, The
Presence of The Path. The story concerns
the journey of a youth to rediscover the origin
of the yin-yang symbol. He travels through
China and India, asking master after master for
the origin to the yin-yang symbol. Each offers
the usual interpretation.
'Balance the opposites.
The flow between duality.
The harmony of the detached middle way.'
The youth is unimpressed. He desires to
know. Even when such knowledge must be
summoned through the symbol alone.
