| This observation may appear strange at first, yet, hear me out. The Earth does not orbit the Sun. Never Has. Never Will. Yes, I am fully aware that every school book on the Solar System shows on a compressed scale that the Earth and all the other planets (including fragments of another known as the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter) orbit the Sun. I, also, during my youth, had a mobile in my bedroom depicting the orbits of the planets around a stationary Sun. Hence, the one variable we always overlook. The Sun is far from stationary. The Sun is massive, and this massive object is right now hauling through Space. So are all the Stars. An entire Universe in Motion. If the Sun were stationary, then it makes sense that the Earth could prance around the Sun in a nice and tidy orbit and all would be well for 365 or so days. Yet, that is not the case. The Sun and its mass is moving at a high rate of speed AWAY from Earth and the rest of the planets (silly, really, to even consider the Sun being held in place). The Earth and all the other planets are caught up in the wake of the Suns pull based upon the size and speed of the Sun. Hence, our Solar System is a comet with a tail of planets. Our Solar system is not like a record on a turntable going round and round a center, the Sun; our Solar System is like a funnel, whereby, rather than a hole at the bottom, there exists the Sun, pulling the Earth and the other planets along...just as the Sun 'cones' after a mass larger and faster...yet...further insights on this phenomenon is reserved for my book, The Unified Universe. So, yes, we once lived as though the Earth was the center of all things. Such a cosmology provided a foundation for a myopic philosophy and religion that may have borne a sweet and superficial fruit, yet no substance when pressed for deeper answers. After that, we now consider the Earth orbits the Sun, adopting a Philosophy and Religion based in only two dimensions; always seeking to embrace as much as we shun, find as much as we have lost, kill as much as we save, be as much as not...blame as much as credit...motion versus inertis...by seeing the Earth in motion and the Sun Stationary, that cosmology establishes a permanent dichotomy throughout all fields of thought, and limits us and our awareness. We shall enter a new day soon, whereby we see ourselves as three dimensional...that our solar system is not that (nor is the Universe), whereby a Sun is shown to be moving through space pulling the Solar System along...the movement of the Earth is interrelated with the movement of the Sun, and not just due to the Earth orbiting around an always setting Sun...the Earth is being pulled across the galaxy (and this galaxy is pulling our Sun and Solar System across the Universe); by seeing as much in ourselves (because our cosmology establishes the foundation for our religious and philosophical ideals), we may learn to use our inner Sun in a similar way, and stop trying to orbit a center that we will never orbit because we never did in the first place, and be more three dimensional as beings and in our thoughts, rather than dualistic or myopic. We shall pick this up more after the publication of The Unified Universe. |
